Sharing Resources
The outside link that I research this week talk about the quality program for early childhood program from ages 3 and 4 years old. In Southern California schools are working to come up with strategies that will help the families to be able to afford the quality program so their children would be able to attend school. The schools are coming up with funded ideals that will allow parent participation to help provided the education for their children. There were many states that I have read about did not allow children that were 3 or 4 to go to school at all which I thought was very sad. It is hard for parents to find good quality programs and when the parents find one they are turn down. I believe if a child is ready to attend school he or she should be able to attend. From my reading children who start early would graduate early and proceed with their education and be successful in life.
In my first week assignment the website that I read about Foundations of Lifelong Health are Built in Early Childhood the information that was provided has some of the same information that I gain in this week research about how low income families provides basic necessities and positive learning environment for their children on the wages of what he or she make on their jobs. Middle income parents struggles to make sure their children are in school without the help of welfare or any other assistance.
What I have gain about issues on this week about equity care, availability, affordable, accessibility, that there were many states and might be still some that did not allow families to have accessibility to their programs because of funding. Parents that was living in poverty could not afford the programs so their children had to stay at home until he or she had reach appropriate age to go to school. I also learn that some schools had the quality care but the teacher was not getting paid enough to enhance the program for the children to get the education that were needed at that time. I have gain all of these issues to be aware in my field of early childhood and know how to come up with strategies that would help me in my field of development.
