Codes of Ethics

In my reading for my week 7 assignment the codes of ethics from the NAEYC that are meaningful to me is P-1.3 We shall not participate in practices that discriminate against children by denying benefits, giving special advantages, or excluding them from programs or activities on te basis of thier sex, race, national origin, religious beliefs or other affiliations of their families. This is meanful because every child should be treated like a child no matter their race or religious belief. Education should be important no matter how the teacher feel or think it should be what is best for the child to help gain their creative, social, emotional and language development.

P-1.7 is another one that is meanful to me is we shall strive to build individual relationships with each child: make individualized adaptations in teaching strategies, learning environments, and curricula; and consult with the family so that each child benefits from the program. If after such efforts have been exhausted, the current placement does ot meet a child's needs, or the child is seriously jeopardixing the ability of other children to benefit from the program, we shall collaborate with the child's family and appropriate specialists to determine the additional services needed and or the placement options most likely to ensure the child's success. A teacher shoud have a relationship with the child so he or she will have confidents and feel comfortable to interact with the teachers. The teachers should always collaborate with the child's family to let he or she family know how they are doing in school and if he or she is not doing well in school the teachers should notify the family as soon as possible so the child can get the help that is needed to be successful in school.

Ethic Code I-3A.2 To share resources with co-workers, collaborating to ensure that the best possible early childhood care and education program is provided. I do beleive that any co-worker that want to help the program get better with new ideas should share the resources that he or she have acquirer to help the teachers as well as the children in the community.

The code of ethics for the Division for Early Childhood have meanful codes of ethics that I agree with. One is we shall demonstrate our respect and concern for cildren, families, colleagues, and other with whom we work, honoring teir belief, values, customs, languages and culture.  Teachers should have a concern for children and their families at all time no matter what their culture are we should be able to interact with the child and families.  Communication is the most important when it come down to the child they have feelings like everyone and they are human. Teacher should do their best to make sure that the he or she should get what is needed for them, and communicate with parents to let them know about the different resources to help their children.

Professional Behavior is another code of ethic that I read which is true we shall demonstrate inour behavior and language respect and appreciation for the unique value and human potential of each child. We shall watch what is said when a child is around it can cause a child to have mental feelings about the teacher and school. Name calling at a child should not be done at all the child name should be call what it is on the roll sheet.

The code of ethics should always be mention in workshop to teachers to be aware of them and help in their program for children. I would want to keep the code of ethic in my protfolio to always remember what should be requirer for the children and families.

  1. Your codes are really good. They all have the same thing in mind of working together as a team and co-laboration. I really like the code you mentioned about speaking to children with respect and no name calling.
